Ade Fishpool ARPS

Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember; there's even a photo of me with twin lens reflex camera in hand which was taken just after I learned to walk (well maybe a wee bit later). After returning to education as a mature student I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2010 with a First Class Honours degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. I am an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society after gaining my distinction in 2012. I am based in Herefordshire and Devon but have undertaken projects and work in various locations near and far.

Photography assignments have included a wide variety of clients and organisations including Bletchley Park, England Rugby World Cup Winner Phil Vickery, The Donkey Sanctuary, The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) Hereford, The Wales Millennium Centre, Westons Cider, Val Yost (for Calligraphy magazine) and Hereford International Summer School. I've also photographed motor sports, music festivals, weddings, gymnastics, war re-enactment's, Rallies and events.

Art was one of the things I did a lot of and really enjoyed at school, as I'm sure many people did. But then it got put aside for quite a few years. I picked it up again while doing a photography course at college as art history was part of the curriculum. We did a range of activities including life drawing and combined art with photography to make animated pieces. Since then I've worked on mainly digital art but I'm currently making room and gathering supplies for more traditional mediums.

Design is something I grew into while I was a civil servant working in recruitment, website and event delivery roles over a period of just over 10 years. Building on my art and photography background it was a natural fit for me. Some of the things I designed included logo's, flyers, graphics, templates, posters and banners as well as larger projects including mini and full websites. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience of the design process from initial brief to end product by working with some fantastic agencies and venues.

The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) is an educational charity committed to bringing photography to everyone.

It is one of the world’s oldest photographic societies and was founded in 1853 to make the art and science of photography more widely available.

Today the RPS is a world-leading photographic community.
